FAQ
How does We Dry ASAP find ALL the areas where water damage has occurred?
Infrared or Thermal Imaging
We Dry ASAP uses infrared or thermal imaging because it is one of the most effective ways to find water damage in a home or business. A trained thermographer can effectively and efficiently find water damage that is easily missed. Water on the floor is easy to see, but water damage can hide in walls and ceilings where it not visible, but damage and mold growth continues.
Moisture Mapping
Moisture mapping through infrared or thermal imaging is an extremely valuable procedure for many clients affected by water damage. With thermal imaging we can verify exactly where the water flowed, so we can map a plan to ensure complete drying and be sure no areas have been missed and allow mold growth.
Couldn’t I just dry the space myself?
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration recommends you do not attempt to treat the water damage yourself, but hire a certified water restoration firm that employs professionals trained to assess and repair damage caused by the water. They can also locate hidden damage to ceilings, walls and contents caused by moisture in structural components. They recommend that you:
- Stay away from contaminated water or electrical hazards.
- If safe to do so, turn off circuit breakers supplying electricity to the wet area and unplug and remove small appliances from wet rooms.
WE DRY ASAP is a full service structural drying firm specializing in the In-Place Drying Method for water damage, water restoration and water extraction. The In-Place Drying Method causes the least disruption to your life or business AND decreases the drying time by up to 60%! With the In-Place Drying Method you can be back up and running literally days sooner than with traditional drying methods many companies use.
Quick drying time is critical – mold growth begins in as little as 48 hours in damp conditions. And a fast drying time means less stress for you and less money out of your pocket in replacement and repair costs. Using the newest equipment we quickly extract the water, often in as little as 3 hours, and begin to aggressively dry your flooring, walls and property.
What is the In-Place Drying Method?
The In-Place Drying Method uses commercial high-capacity equipment to control the temperature of the wet areas in order to rapidly increase evaporation. This rapid evaporation is accomplished by directing just enough heat either under the carpet, into the substrate or by tenting the floor with plastic. This warm air is then purposely vented along the walls, drying them as well. Thermostatically controlled evacuation fans keep a continuous high capacity airflow, and industrial dehumidifiers finish removing the water from your home or business.
How is We Dry ASAP different from other water damage and mold remediation companies?
In addition to using infrared or thermal imaging and the In-Place Drying Method our staff holds the three highest available certifications in the industry. We are committed to getting your life back to normal ASAP!
